The biggest loser in ‘Deflategate’ may be Roger Goodell
So it turns out that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be suspended for “Deflategate.”
Probably.
A federal appeals court on Monday ruled that Brady must serve a four-game “Deflategate” suspension imposed by the NFL, overturning a lower judge and siding with the league in a battle with the players union.
While there were people thrilled that Brady will miss the first four games this season, there was a lot of disgust aimed at commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL.
From a Jets fan, no less #FreeBradyAgain RT @Espngreeny This was an equipment violation, at worst, and should’ve been treated as such #Brady

Did Brady mess with the footballs? Probably. Does he deserve a four-game suspension? No.

The NFL still can't even 100% define a catch but they're still going after Brady for "maybe" using deflated footballs 2 yrs ago in a blowout

If Brady suspension holds he'll miss Arizona, Miami, Houston, Buffalo. CBA 1, Science 0.

The NFL lost initial appeals in both Tom Brady and Greg Hardy's cases, and fought harder to reinstate Brady's punishment. That's the truth.

so basically they don't care whether or not Brady actually did anything, but that Goodell has the power to suspend people for no reason?

Brady: 4 games for deflate gateHardy: 10 game suspension reduced to 4 games for DOMESTIC ABUSE

Goodell isn't interested in justice. He's more interested in making a highly-publicized example of someone (Brady) or something (Chiefs).

There has never been a more irrelevant and BS story than Deflategate, Brady shouldn't miss ONE SNAP. What a joke.

Good lord - are we really doing this deflategate thing again? I have a much better idea for a Brady punishment. pic.twitter.com/iEEZZdhzT1

Appeals court simply stating that Goodell has the right to suspend Brady, not that #NFL findings were right #TomBrady
