For Pete's Sake

Check out Eric Hosmer’s reaction after he lost track of number of outs, tossed ball to a fan

As Del Griffith once famously noted, “We can laugh about it now, we’re all right.”

And Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer did have a laugh after he forgot how many outs there were during the Royals’ 4-0 win over the Tigers on Thursday at Kauffman Stadium.

Hosmer made a great catch in the fifth inning. He thought it was a great way to end the Tigers’ half of the frame, so he tossed the ball to a fan in the stands.

Whoops, it was only the second out.

Mike Moustakas hit his fifth homer on Thursday in a 4-0 victory over the Tigers. He's on pace for the most homers of his career.
