Royals fans vent about Joakim Soria, who heard boos at Kauffman Stadium
The numbers are ugly.
A 7.71 ERA. A 2.14 WHIP. Opponents are hitting .333. In addition, Royals relief pitcher Joakim Soria has allowed a run in four of the eight games he’s pitched this season.
Another key number: 8 percent. That’s how much of the season has elapsed.
Too early for fans to freak out? Nope. There were some boos at Kauffman Stadium for Soria on Tuesday, when he left with the bases loaded and one out and ended up allowing a run as Kelvin Herrera worked out of a jam.
There were even more unhappy fans on social media.
