Former Mizzou linebacker Sean Weatherspoon found a check for more than $100,000
Moving is no fun.
That universal truth was part of a funny Seinfeld bit with Keith Hernandez. And if you think professional athletes just leave the moving to hired hands, you are mistaken.
Former Missouri linebacker Sean Weatherspoon tweeted this on Tuesday night:
My gal just found a game check, I guess moving does have its perks ha

Weatherspoon was with the Arizona Cardinals last year, but signed a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons on March 10 (he also played for Atlanta from 2010-13). That’s likely why he’s moving.
According to Spotrac.com, Weatherspoon had a base salary of $2.35 million. According to WFAA.com, NFL players are paid per game. With the help of my trusty online calculator, that means Weatherspoon’s lost check was worth $146,875 (before taxes).
Even after the government took its share, that check is probably very large.
There was a good reason why Weatherspoon misplaced that check.
@nwilborn19 bro they gave me one hard copy all season... Everything else was direct deposit lol #blessed
