Junior hockey player in Canada was arrested on ice during a game
This could add an exciting element to hockey viewing.
CBC News reported that Olivier Marcotte, a 21-year-old junior hockey player, was arrested after allegedly spitting in a referee’s face during a game on Sunday in Nicolet, Quebec, in Canada.
The following video reportedly shows Quebec Provincial police officers handcuffing Marcotte while he was still on the ice during a game.
The CBC said Marcotte was released from police custody later on Sunday.
From the CBC: “SQ Sgt. Annie Thibodeau said no complaint has been laid against the player and there will be no further action from the police unless one is filed.”
