And to think, there was a time when people used to bet only on the outcome of a Super Bowl. At least, I assume that was the case.

Whatever the history of prop bets, these days you can bet on more than 60 events from Super Bowl 50 involving the broadcast, the halftime show and, of course, the game. And that’s just from Bovada.

Former KU player Aqib Talib (33 to 1) and Chris Harris (75 to 1) are on the list of potential Super Bowl MVPs for the game, which is in Santa Clara, Calif.

Here are the five best prop bets available from Bovada:

5. Will “Left Shark” make an appearance on stage during the Super Bowl halftime show?

Yes 15/1

4. Will the Panthers player who scores their first TD give the football to a boy or girl?

3. Will Peyton Manning be seen crying at any point during the entire Broadcast?

1. Will Mike Carey be wrong about a challenge?

Yes +110 (11-10)

No -150 (2-3)

(Note: He must be consulted on live broadcast and must clearly take a stance on his position. If not consulted wagers will be No Action.)

Mike Carey’s troubles have been noticed by many, many people, including the Royals’ Eric Hosmer.

Here are the rest of the bets from Bovada.
