UCLA coach Jim Mora may have started new Twitter account after closing his other
UCLA football coach Jim Mora caught a lot of flak Saturday for his brushoff “handshake” with Kansas State coach Bill Snyder after Friday’s Alamo Bowl.
The Bruins won 40-35, but Mora apparently was angry with Snyder and the video of the handshake went viral.
There’s an addendum to that story: Mora apparently closed his Twitter account on Saturday.
Jim Mora couldn't handle the truth. pic.twitter.com/zWY2P8p4yv
— Jenner Burch (@jenner_burch) January 4, 2015And now it seems, there is a new Twitter handle called @hcuclafb that some believe Mora created. It is private:
Hey guys. Yep, @hcuclafb is real @BruinNation pic.twitter.com/SmgtYYGUsJ
— Michael Clutts (@Clutts8) January 4, 2015There is no way to know if that is Mora’s, of course.
But this is what people were saying after the public account was deleted:
Twitter won. - "@Jake_Trotter: Apparently Jim Mora deleted his Twitter account today: @uclacoachmora”
— Mike Garland (@_MikeGarland) January 4, 2015Wait, what? Jim Mora deleted his account? Isn't that a recruiting tool? Why would he do that?
— Michael Castillo (@MichaelCastFS) January 4, 2015For a coach to delete his Twitter account because he's catching too much heat for something he did is pretty weak. @UCLACoachMora
— The Playoff Guru (@ThePlayoffGuru) January 4, 2015He is currently on a handshaking tour. Too busy for Twitter @Ronniebedros: Jim mora deleted his Twitter lol
