On Oct. 25, the Royals were just days from opening the World Series at Kauffman Stadium.
A group of players and manager Ned Yost took in the Chiefs’ game against Pittsburgh that day at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs were 1-5 at the time and the prospect of making the playoffs was dim.
The Chiefs haven’t lost since. On Sunday, they clinched a playoff berth with a 17-13 win over the Browns.
