Eric Hosmer shows his support for Eric Berry for NFL Man of Year award

There is a little less than two weeks left for Chiefs fans to show their support for safety Eric Berry.

Berry is the Chiefs’ nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award, which recognizes one NFL player annually for his excellence on and off the field.

Berry, 26, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma last December, returned to the team and regained his starting role in the second game of the season. He also started the Eric Berry Foundation and has helped revitalize a park in his hometown of Fairburn, Ga.

Berry has also visited Children’s Mercy Hospital and helped Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City.

Each NFL team has a nominee and every player has a special hashtag (in Berry’s case it’s #BerryWPMOYChallenge). Whichever player’s hashtag is used the most on any social media platform will result in the player’s charity getting a $20,000 donation from Nationwide.
