Lorenzo Cain’s spikes, Eric Hosmer’s jersey among items in Hall of Fame exhibit
Every year, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum refurbishes its “Autumn Glory” exhibit.
Because it is dedicated to the World Series champions, it’s necessary to bring in memorabilia from the current champion. As you may have heard, that’s the Royals. The exhibit will open this Friday in Cooperstown, N.Y.
The Royals sent Eric Hosmer’s jersey from Game 5, the spikes worn by Lorenzo Cain, Wade Davis’ road cap, the glove used by World Series MVP Salvador Perez and the bats used by Mike Moustakas and Alcides Escobar.
Another item Royals fans wouldn’t mind seeing is the jersey worn by Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy. His error in Game 4 provided to be pivotal.
The “Autumn Glory” exhibit will be on display until next year’s postseason ends. The Museum said in 2016 it “will continue its salute to the Royals’ World Championship of 2015 with special programming to be announced in the spring.”
