A list of attendees at Blaine Gabbert’s news conference: Blaine Gabbert
Former Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert is a good sport.
Having no one show up for your news conference could be hard on your ego, but Gabbert took in it stride on Wednesday. He’s now with the 49ers (in case you didn’t realize it):
What did #49ers Blaine Gabbert do when he showed up for his press conference and no one was there?
— Mindi Bach (@MBachCSN) November 25, 2015#49ers Gabbert took a seat in the front row and got ready to ask some ?'s! He was a great sport about it. pic.twitter.com/31o0NFrRuC
— Mindi Bach (@MBachCSN) November 25, 2015There was a good reason for Gabbert’s solo act at the news conference. Again, here is Mindi Bach:
As far as Gabbert, he showed up on time. The #49ers did not list him on today's schedule so the media didn't know.
— Mindi Bach (@MBachCSN) November 25, 2015After strugging with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Gabbert has done well in San Francisco. He’s thrown for 449 yards in two games with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s also rushed 12 times for 54 yards.
“Like I’ve always said, the experiences of playing, now being 26 in my fifth year, I’m a more mature player,” Gabbert said on the 49ers website. “I know where I want to go with the football. You see the presnap looks and you can go off of knowledge that you’ve seen that look in the past and knowing where they’re vulnerable, where you’re guys are going to pop open. Just from that, just more comfortable in the system.”
