Former Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert is a good sport.

Having no one show up for your news conference could be hard on your ego, but Gabbert took in it stride on Wednesday. He’s now with the 49ers (in case you didn’t realize it):

There was a good reason for Gabbert’s solo act at the news conference. Again, here is Mindi Bach:

After strugging with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Gabbert has done well in San Francisco. He’s thrown for 449 yards in two games with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s also rushed 12 times for 54 yards.

“Like I’ve always said, the experiences of playing, now being 26 in my fifth year, I’m a more mature player,” Gabbert said on the 49ers website. “I know where I want to go with the football. You see the presnap looks and you can go off of knowledge that you’ve seen that look in the past and knowing where they’re vulnerable, where you’re guys are going to pop open. Just from that, just more comfortable in the system.”
