Has this been a great four weeks for Kansas City sports or what?
Ever since the astonishing sixth game of the American League Championship Series (the blown lead, the rain delay, Lorenzo Cain’s dash from first to home, Wade Davis stuffing the Blue Jays’ rally), it’s almost nothing but good times. The Royals won that game 4-3 on Oct. 23.
Since then, the Royals won the World Series in five games over the Mets. And the Chiefs have gone 4-0. That includes blowout wins over the Broncos and the Chargers in consecutive weeks.
Apparently, I’m not the only one who took note of the Chiefs’ reversal of fortune since the Royals won the ALCS.
