Twitter account of Cardinals QB Ryan Lindley offers Bibles at halftime, then he plays in game
A funny thing happened at halftime of the Cardinals-Rams game on Thursday night.
Arizona quarterback Ryan Lindley tweeted that he would be giving away free Bibles:
Stay tuned. Going to randomly offer 25 Bibles to my Followers thru Tuesday. Will you accept my gift of a new Bible?#HolidayBibleGiveaway
— Ryan Lindley (@RyanLindley14) December 12, 2014Then, Cardinals quarterback Drew Stanton was injured in the third quarter and Lindley entered the game.
@NFLChurch Tweet of the night goes to Ryan Lindley offering free Bibles during halftime. And is now playing.
— Ian Kenyon (@IanKenyonNFL) December 12, 2014A short while later came these tweets:
Please note all tweets regarding the #HolidayBibleGiveaway are made by @A4C_ATHLETES. We tweet for Ryan relating to his charitable projects.
— Ryan Lindley (@RyanLindley14) December 12, 2014We apologize for any confusion by his fans and followers for tweeting during the game. It was an oversight on our part.
— Ryan Lindley (@RyanLindley14) December 12, 2014Ah, so it wasn’t Lindley. However, Lindley’s name was trending on Twitter after he entered the game — and it wasn’t because of how well he was playing.
@RyanLindley14 @PaolaBoivin @A4C_ATHLETES I thought he was multi tasking.
— Jane Pittet (@pittet_jane) December 12, 2014Chiefs fans who complain about Alex Smith never throwing touchdown passes to his WRs should spend a game or two with Ryan Lindley at QB.
— Peter Nygaard (@RetepAdam) December 12, 2014This may be controversial, but I think Ryan Lindley stinks.
— Joe Dolan (@FG_Dolan) December 12, 2014You can't tell me that Ryan Lindley is a better option than Tim Tebow
— ALF on the Shelf (@AlfonsoHoops) December 12, 2014The last time Ryan Lindley threw an accurate pass I had a full head of hair.
— Jake Belzer (@jakebelz) December 12, 2014I'm a better NFL quarterback than this Lindley guy. Pretty sure.
— Ryan (@Ryan_MQ) December 12, 2014Ryan Lindley runs his twitter account just as good as he runs an offense.
— Chase'n Waterfalls (@thrillathechase) December 12, 2014Shawn Hill vs Ryan Lindley Lolz.
— DJK (@CoachKoul15) December 12, 2014No chance I’m watching a Ryan Lindley vs Shaun Hill QB duel. That’s like watching ping pong between two drunk uncles.
— Kevin Hine (@Kevin_Hine) December 12, 2014The best game highlights the nfl network could muster for the end of 3rd quarter montage included an incompletion and a Ryan Lindley wink
— Simon Kassel (@simonkassel) December 12, 2014I legitimately thought Ryan Lindley was a kicker
