Eric Hosmer, Salvador Perez sip champagne on way to ‘Tonight Show’ appearance

The Royals are ready to be toasted on late-night television. And fans will face a tough choice.

First baseman Eric Hosmer and catcher Salvador Perez will be on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday. The show sent a private plane to Kansas City to whisk the players, their friends and Mike Swanson, the Royals Vice President-Communications and Broadcasting, to New York.

The “1986 Bret Saberhagen” is expected to be on tonight as well. He made an appearance and rapped last week.

Must-see TV, right? Well, if you’re a Royals fan, keep this in mind. Actor/Royals fan Eric Stonestreet will be on Jimmy Kimmel Liveon Wednesday night. Stonestreet intends to collect on his World Series bet with Kimmel, a Mets fan.

Jeremy Guthrie, the now former Royals pitcher, tweeted this:

MLB.com reported that Guthrie, third baseman Mike Moustakas and catcher Drew Butera would join Stonestreet on Kimmel’s show.

What to do, Royals fans? You could flip channels. Or record one. Or both.
