Game 4 of World Series or trick-or-treating? Parents are altering plans because of Royals
This is a problem that Royals fans have never, ever had.
Watch the Royals or celebrate Halloween?
First pitch of Game 4 of the World Series is at 7:07 p.m., which is prime trick-or-treat time. So we asked if the World Series was altering anyone’s plans.
The short answer is yes.
Take a look:
@pgrathoff my kids prefer handing out the candy to actual trick or treating, we'll head out at dusk, be back inside by 1st pitch.
— Kristin (@watson_wear) October 30, 2015 @KCStar @pgrathoff Folks In our neighborhood discussed on our Facebook group.. Consensus pretty much is to have Halloween from 5-7.
— Justin Castleberry (@JCastleberry17) October 30, 2015 @pgrathoff Starting at 5 to 5:30 and done by 7. Staying at folks house so don't miss the game.
— Matt Woehrle (@buckskinmcnelly) October 30, 2015 @pgrathoff @KCStar told the kids we're done at 7:03, we can start whenever they want; light go offs at game time, so neighbor kids done too
— Chance Gardener (@ChanceBGardener) October 30, 2015 @pgrathoff early. Done by 7 with the Porch Light OFF.
— justin sullins (@Dean23j) October 30, 2015 @pgrathoff We are basically turning into Grinches for Halloween or trying to go earlier.
— Conor Scholes (@clscholes) October 30, 2015 @pgrathoff Oh yeah, we are meeting at 5:45 and will be the fastest Trick or Treat you have ever seen.
— Jason Wilhite (@JWilly1377) October 30, 2015 @KCStar @pgrathoff yes! Heading out early to be home for game time! #ForeverRoyal
— Studio on Main (@Studio_On_Main) October 30, 2015 Some expect to miss the start of Game 4, but not much of it:
@KCStar @pgrathoff we r starting at 6 tomorrow and going til around 8 if that. Our boys are 7 & 4, they might get tired early.
— John Petrovic (@photogwingsfan) October 30, 2015 There are also plans to multitask, since it will be two big events at one time:
@KCStar @pgrathoff Invited friends over an hr earlier. Game going on side of the house for all trick or treaters to watch as they pass by.
— Santee Floral (@SanteeFloral) October 30, 2015 For some people, there is no question what is more important:
@pgrathoff @jeff_rosen88 I’m sorry, but at Halloween, the kids should come first, the adults should come second.
— Mark Peavy (@mdpeavy) October 30, 2015 And since Halloween isn’t just for kids, there are adults that plan to start their, um, Saturday night activities after the game ends:
@KCStar @pgrathoff we opted for the smarter, don't ever reproduce option. No kids and trolley bar crawl starts at 10. We good.
— One Royal Way (@OneRoyalWayKC) October 30, 2015 This wasn’t part of the question, but I’ve seen quite a few Royals pumpkins, so here is a look at some Halloween-themed Royals items:
