Study finds Chiefs fans are partial to Justin Timberlake’s music
Is Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie the prototypical Chiefs fan?
Actually, I don’t know for sure if Guthrie roots for the Chiefs, but his admiration for Justin Timberlake is well known.
According to research by StubHub, fans who bought Chiefs tickets on a secondary market also purchased tickets to see Timberlake more than any other musical artist.
StubHub said it reviewed purchases made for events from 2012-15. It found people who bought an NFL ticket for a particular team, then looked into what concert purchase he/she also made (if any). From there, it was simple addition to see which artist was the best seller.
In the case of the Chiefs, that was Timberlake.
How’d fans in the rest of AFC West stack up?
Broncos fans like Katy Perry, while the Chargers and Raiders are Beyonce fans.
StubHub classified Beyonce’s tour with Jay-Z this year under just Beyonce.
Here’s the entire breakdown by artist (from StubHub):
