There wasn’t a whole lot for Royals fans to like Wednesday in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series as the Blue Jays won 7-1.

But there was this: first baseman Eric Hosmer’s running catch on a ball hit by Edwin Encarnacion was sensational.

Hosmer ran 100 feet to make the grab, the longest distance traveled on a catch by a first baseman that Statcast has measured all season.
