Jeremy Guthrie playfully trolls Blue Jays fans during Game 4
Right or wrong, but fans in Toronto have gained a reputation for throwing things on the field during games.
During Game 5 of the ALDS against Texas, it was beer (and one didn’t make it to the field, hitting a small child in the stands). On Monday, a fan threw a green pepper on the field and it almost hit a policeman during Game 3 of the ALCS.
That’s what makes this so funny.
On Tuesday, the Royals challenged, saying the umpires missed that Alcides Escobar was hit by a pitch in the second inning. The Royals were right and Jeremy Guthrie playfully prepared for an onslaught from the Blue Jays fans:
That is awesome. RT @McCulloughStar: Guthrie. https://t.co/kTwC41y96W
