Former Raymore-Peculiar star Chase Coffman had a tough day Sunday, and his Tennessee Titans didn’t even play.

On Fox’s pregame show Sunday, Jay Glazer showed video of Coffman knocking over a Baltimore Ravens assistant coach on the sideline during a game the week before.

The Ravens had intercepted a pass and Coffman’s momentum appeared to take him off the playing field and into the area where Baltimore’s players and coaches were standing.

Coffman, a tight end who also was a standout player at Missouri, then appeared to intentionally knock over the Ravens coach, who was identified by the Baltimore Sun as Tony Coaxum. He was not injured.

But The Sun reported that the NFL fined Coffman $30,000 for unnecessary roughness, citing an NFL spokesman.

There was no penalty on the play, but The Sun reported that the Ravens brought the matter to the league’s attention.

You can see the video here. Here is a Vine of the play, from Josh Katzowitz, taken from the video Glazer first showed. It made the rounds on Twitter on Sunday.
