An American Indian group is planning a protest of the Chiefs at their game Sunday against the Vikings in Minneapolis.

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the National Coalition Against Racism in Sports and Media will be at TCF Bank Stadium, where the Chiefs will face the Vikings.

“The Kansas City Chiefs have flown under the radar,” Norma Renville, the executive director of Women of Nations Community Advocacy Program and Shelter, told the Pioneer Press. “They are contributing to our cultural genocide.”

According to the Pioneer Press story, Sunday’s rally will not focus on the Chiefs name but the organization and its fans’ antics. In particular, the group dislikes the tomahawk chop down by Chiefs fans, the large drum and fans who wear headdresses.

In 2005, a group calling itself Not In Our Honor protested before the Chiefs played Washington.
