Toronto’s Jose Bautista fakes tossing ball to fans in stands, draws ire of Royals faithful
Blue Jays right fielder Jose Bautista drew derision from some Royals fans Friday during Game 1 of the American League Championship Series.
First Bautista, who was the center of attention for his bat flip during Game 5 of the ALDS against Texas, disagreed with a called strike during an at-bat in the fourth inning. He continued to stew in the dugout after striking out.
Then Bautista secured the final out of the fifth inning and pretended to throw the ball the crowd at Kauffman Stadium. Take a look:
Bautista batted in the sixth and heard some boos while batting (he walked). After that, the reaction on social media to Bautista was not kind. It also wasn’t limited to just Royals fans.
