Actor/comedian Rob Riggle’s allegiance to Kansas City sports teams is unquestioned.

As a graduate of Shawnee Mission South and the University of Kansas, Riggle loves the Jayhawks, Royals and Chiefs.

Riggle has been photographed in Chiefs gear in the past, so yes, he likes the team. However, in an interview with USA Today’s For The Win, it’s clear his love of the Chiefs runs deep. The Chiefs’ 20-year drought without a playoff victory is something he’s suffered through.

“You get to really master the emotion of humility as a Chiefs fan,” Riggle said. “I love the Chiefs, we’re doing great … we just need to win some playoff games. I pick them every year to win the Super Bowl, but I actually have them as my dark horse team this year.”

Riggle believes the Chiefs have the right coach in Andy Reid. In fact, Riggle spoke out against the GIF of Reid as the Kool-Aid man.

“He’s a fine coach and he looks dynamite in red,” Riggle said. “I don’t want to hear anymore ‘Hey, hey Kool-Aid,’ enough he’s a fine coach and he’s going to take us to the big dance.”
