Joe Hubener returns to game after big hit to head as K-State QB carousel spins
Kansas State fans have to be asking if there is a curse on their quarterbacks this season.
Backup Joe Hubener took a vicious hit to the head during Saturday’s game against Oklahoma State, and left. In came wide receiver Kody Cook.
#KState's QB depth chart: 1. Ertz: knee season 2. Hubener: possible concussion 3. Delton: knee possible season 4. Banks: mono 5. WR Cook in
— Tim Fitzgerald (@LifeofFitz) October 3, 2015Cook did a fantastic job, but he also was hurt. So Hubener came back. Fans were surprised/angry to see Hubener return:
It will be fun for Hubener to learn to read again once he recovers from multiple concussions. #rubsomedirtonit #KState
— Kent Bush (@Kentbush) October 3, 2015Don't tell me we give a flying crap about head injuries when #kstate's Hubener has come back into this game. Dude was GONE like an hour ago.
— Tara McCoy (@tarammccoy) October 3, 2015Putting Hubener back in is arguably criminal. #EMAW
— BW (@bwright928) October 3, 2015Did @KState_Football just put in a player who was knocked out earlier in the game (Hubener)? #KState
— Saintbridge (@Saintbridge) October 3, 2015@KellisRobinett they can't run any of their QB run stuff. it's obvious that Huebner had a concussion, and they don't want him hit again.

— FS1 (@FS1) October 3, 2015Other Kansas State fans lamented the way quarterbacks have been injured this season:
If #kstate makes it through the season without having to use Kstate Rec's intramural quarterback it will be a miracle
— Tonya Ricklefs (@tonyarick) October 3, 2015Can the Cats put Cooks uniform on Colin Klein and get him back on the field? #notethesarcasm #KState
— Sheri Arnold (@SheriPowercat88) October 3, 2015I played QB in jr high and have all my college athletic eligibility left. Give me a call, Bill. #kstate
— Kendall Voth (@kendall_voth) October 3, 2015Guys, I'm the next QB if anyone else goes down. Let's hope that doesn't happen. #KState
— Zach Newman (@znewman87) October 3, 2015So Stan Weber has to be the next guy up, right? #KState
