About that culture change at Texas ...

When Charlie Strong was hired as the Longhorns football coach in 2014, he

A Forbes story said that Strong and his coaches met with the team the seniors ahead of the 2014 season and showed his “five core values:” 1.) Honesty; 2.) Treating Women With Respect; 3.) No Drugs; 4.) No Stealing; and 5.) No Weapons.

Here’s the thing about that first pillar of Texas values. One of the Longhorns was caught doing something dishonest during Saturday’s game.

Apparently, Texas had too many defensive players on the field for a play against California. Or maybe the coaches need to figure out something. Either way, one of the players (identified as Edwin Freeman) went down like he was a soccer player.

UPDATE: Despite falling to the ground, Freeman had a serious shoulder injury and he will miss six to eight weeks.
