Royals’ Alex Rios was ‘nervous’ when fireworks went off after his homer in Cleveland
It’s a pretty simple job.
As the person in charge of setting off the fireworks at Progressive Field in Cleveland, the requirement is to press the button(s) when one of the Indians players hits a home run.
We all know Alex Rios is the Royals’ outfielder, so it was a bit surprising when fireworks went off Tuesday at Progressive Field after Rios hit a home run.
Rios told Joel Goldberg that he was initially nervous when the fireworks were set off:
Unfortunately, the fireworks guy found himself in the spotlight on Tuesday.
