What is going on with dirty play from high school football players?

Two weeks ago, a pair of Texas players assaulted an official during a game.

Last Friday, during a game between New Jersey teams, a player from Linden High School took a helmet off an Immaculata High player and then hit the player in the head with the helmet.

Mycentraljersey.com reported that the player wasn’t ejected from the game, but that police in Linden, N.J., are looking into what happened in the game.

The website also had a statement from Linden Schools Superintendent Danny A. Robertozzi: “The Linden Public School District is aware of the incident. An investigation by administration is taking place and disciplinary consequences will be issued accordingly. Due to student confidentiality, no further comments will be released. The Linden Public School District is taking this very seriously and by no means is this incident a reflection of our school community or athletic teams.”
