One of the perks of playing in the World Series is being able to give away tickets to a game.
“Oh, yeah,” Royals designated hitter Billy Butler said. “That doesn’t always happen.”
But that’s what Butler did as he took to Twitter on Monday night with this question:

That was retweeted 186 times with people offering all sorts of reasons why they should get a ticket.
The winning response was for a fan who would surprise his daughter with tickets:
Butler and his wife Katie looked over the candidates and picked their favorite one.
“It was a kid’s birthday yesterday and the other one tomorrow,” Butler said. “It was a double-birthday thing, so that was cool to me.”
The recipients of the tickets were thrilled.
Butler wasn’t the only one bestowing World Series tickets.
Outfielder Josh Willingham also gave away tickets on Tuesday.
“She has waited on us several times,” Willingham, “so it just made her day.”
