There was good and bad in Kansas’ season-opening 41-38 loss to South Dakota State on Saturday.

In fact, the bad sort of bookended the good.

South Dakota State jumped to a big lead, KU rallied, and then the Jayhawks attempted to spike the ball to set up a tying field goal.

Instead, Kansas quarterback Montell Cozart fumbled. Dieter Kurtenbach had the video of the play:
