Eagles cut quarterback Tim Tebow, and the reactions are mixed
For a while, it looked like Tim Tebow was a lock to make the Eagles as the third-string quarterback.
Alas, Tebow was cut on Saturday. Here is what Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly had to say:
"We didn't feel like [Tim Tebow] was good enough to be the #3 QB right now." http://t.co/qyrO1fb9vm
— NFL (@NFL) September 5, 2015The news was met with a mixed reaction:
makes me so mad that Philly didn't give a spot to Tim Tebow on the roster.. the dude was throwing up pretty good numbers in the preseason
— Mak (@TheBroMako) September 5, 2015Tim Tebow isn't on an NFL Roster because he isn't good. Is that difficult to understand?
— Tyler. (@Typac69) September 5, 2015I was rooting for Tim Tebow.
— Melvin Core (@mr_core215) September 5, 2015One certainty in life: People will go to their death beds still convincing themselves that Tim Tebow is good at football.
— Zach Kirkland (@HeyZachAttack) September 5, 2015I'm genuinely disappointed that Tim Tebow didn't make the Eagles.
— Kristin Smith (@kristins24) September 5, 2015People act like Tim Tebow is the first All American, Heisman winner, or Nat Champ QB to tank in the NFL. He ain't. Get over it.
— Mike Gibbs (@mwgfla) September 5, 2015I feel like Chip Kelly just successfully trolled Tim Tebow and all #Eagles fans. New toon.… http://t.co/PWNUdqjW9r pic.twitter.com/gtV8BcCL8x
— Rob Tornoe (@RobTornoe) September 5, 2015Tim Tebow was released by the Eagles - what - today? Yesterday? He will probably not be seen again in the NFL
— James Parker (@sayjhoward) September 5, 2015Absolute joke that Tim Tebow doesn't have a job in the NFL. #LEGEND #Godisgood
— Caleb Holt (@calebholt35) September 5, 2015Tim #tebow cut by #Eagles. Not surprised. His pre season plays wasn't good. Mark Sanchez let's win NFC East then we ll talk #SuperBowl #NFL
