Taylor Swift’s bouquet at her wedding was caught by a Chiefs player’s sister
Chiefs guard Trey Smith is not the only member of his family currently in the NFL, as his sister Ashley has a role in the league office.
Ashley Smith is the manager of player engagement for the NFL, and the siblings are close. That bond is what led Trey Smith to bring Ashley to see Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce wed superstar singer Taylor Swift on Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
As if that wouldn’t be memorable enough for the Smiths, something remarkable happened.
We don’t know a lot about the ceremony, although the gossip sites have been working hard to learn any and every detail. But one neat item was revealed by Ashley.
In posting photos with Trey to her Instagram account, Ashley shared that she had caught Swift’s bouquet and it was beautiful, simple and elegant.
“Celebrated an Enchanting Love S(T&T)ory,” Ashley Smith wrote.
“And somehow… I ended up catching Tay Tay’s bouquet. 💐
“So here’s to believing it’s bringing a lifetime of love, luck, and laughter my way. Congratulations, Taylor & Travis! Cheers to forever T&T! ”
X user imalltoowell wrote this about the flowers: “Taylor’s bouquet is made of sweet pea which are used in bridal bouquets to ward off evil and protect the bride. (T)hey also symbolize lasting bond and blissfulness. And queen Anne’s lace which is safety refuge and sanctuary and a happy home with comfort and grace.”
You can see the bouquet in the post, but you have to scroll through the photos.
If you want to know more about the Smith siblings, they were featured last fall on “CBS Mornings.”
