Kansas City is featured prominently in Argentina’s 2026 World Cup team video
Yeah, Lionel Messi made Argentina’s roster for the 2026 World Cup.
Even though Messi suffered a small injury over the weekend, you could have guessed that he would make the team for the sixth straight World Cup, right?
Argentina, the defending World Cup champions, not only will be training in Kansas City, but the team will be playing its first match of the tournament at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kansas City was on Team Argentina’s mind when it released a video to announce its 23-man roster. Argentina paid tribute to its past as three-time World Cup champions and put Kansas City in the spotlight.
As the players were unveiled at their positions, the backdrop video was of Union Station with the Kansas City skyline visible.
“Here they are,” Team Argentina wrote with the video post. “These are the guys.”
Argentina will arrive in Kansas City this weekend as the team trains at Compass Minerals National Performance Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
