This might be an NFL Draft first.

New Chiefs defensive lineman Peter Woods turned heads because those who joined his watch party Thursday night in Atlanta coordinated what they would wear. Palmetto Sports said it officially was called a “White Party.”

That bash wasn’t held at a Woods’ family home or a restaurant. It was inside a Maserati dealership in Atlanta, Palmetto Sports said. That’s a new one, right?

After hearing his name called as the 29th overall pick, Woods celebrated with his family and then gave his mother, Deven, and sister, Denver, a new Maserati SUV. Hey, being at that Maserati dealership worked out great.

“They’ve been two women in this process who have really reached out and checked on me,” Woods told Palmetto Sports. “But forget the process. That’s my mom and my sister, you know what I’m saying? They’ve really been there for me when the door was closed and the lights were off and people didn’t really know what was going on. But they knew.

“Sometimes I don’t always vocalize that. Sometimes I’m busy, so I really felt like it was important to go big and make it hit home for them because they certainly deserve it.”
