If you tuned in long enough after game seven of the 2014 World Series, you saw Rikk Wilde get his proverbial 15 minutes of fame.

Wilde gave the keys to a Chevy truck to Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner, who was the Series MVP.

It was an awkward moment.

But the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Chevrolet delivered a 2016 Colorado truck to Bumgarner’s father, Kevin, in Hickory, N.C., as a surprise.

“He was obviously shocked and excited,” Madison told the San Francisco Chronicle. “He wasn’t expecting it. It’s been so long since the whole World Series. He was grateful.”

But don’t think Bumgarner gave the truck to dear old dad merely because he’s a good son. The Chronicle story says Bumgarner is a Ford guy.
