Chiefs fans had the perfect ‘hate-watch’ run during the NFL postseason
There was an ever-so small Chiefs angle to the Seahawks’ 29-13 win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LX.
Over the last eight years, the Chiefs are the only AFC team that has won the Super Bowl.
There is no question that Kansas City fans would have preferred to see the Chiefs in the postseason, but they had a 6-11 record and were eliminated from the playoff race with three games to play in the regular season.
But that doesn’t mean the postseason wasn’t enjoyable for Chiefs Kingdom.
All the Chiefs’ biggest rivals were defeated in the playoffs, starting with the AFC West Chargers’ lopsided 16-3 loss to the Patriots in the wild-card round.
In the divisional round, the Eagles’ repeat Super Bowl championship went up in smoke as they lost at home to the 49ers. And the Buffalo Bills lost in overtime to the Broncos.
Seeing Denver win wasn’t great, but the top-seeded Broncos blew it the following week, losing 10-7 at home to the Patriots.
And in the Super Bowl, the Seahawks led from start to finish and beat New England, keeping Kansas City’s streak alive.
Fans shared how they loved to “hate watch” these NFL playoffs.
