When superstar singer Taylor Swift first began dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in 2023, she was seen frequently during television broadcasts of KC games.

You might recall how the “dads, Brads and Chads” felt about that. Swift came up with that nickname about fans who spoke out about the TV coverage, which was out of her hands.

CBS Sports broadcaster Tony Romo apparently was aware of it, too.

While on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up last week, Romo mentioned how he had referred to Swift as Kelce’s wife during broadcasts of Chiefs games.

And another time, when the cameras panned to Jason Kelce at one point, Romo said, “There’s your brother-in-law.”

Romo admitted in the SirusXM interview that he was trolling viewers and didn’t have any inside information about a Kelce-Swift wedding.

“Yeah, I mean, I did kind of play with the fans a little bit,” he said. “I think I was like, ‘And there’s...’ I think I said, ‘his wife.’ I did that on purpose and people like (asked), ‘Do you know something?’ I was like, ‘Nah, I just wanted to make you guys think for a second.’ Just mess with you a little bit.”
