It’s been an incredible couple of months for Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock.

The former Mizzou and Lee’s Summit High School star became a father for the second time when his wife, Natalie, gave birth to their daughter, Landry Isabelle, on Dec. 4.

Roughly six weeks later, Lock is headed to Super Bowl LX after the Seahawks beat the Rams 31-27 in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

Quarterback Sam Darnold’s unlikely journey to the Super Bowl was the biggest storyline to come from the Seahawks’ win. Darnold was the third overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, but struggled mightily in three seasons with the Jets. He bounced to the Panthers and then 49ers before guiding the Vikings to a 14-win season in 2024.

Minnesota let Darnold go despite that success and, boy, the Seahawks were happy to have him. Seattle won 14 games and is going to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2011.

Like Darnold, there have been bumps in the road for Lock. He was selected by the Broncos in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, but struggled after showing promise as a rookie.

Lock was part of the blockbuster Broncos-Seahawks trade in 2022 that sent Russell Wilson to Denver. Lock was a backup to Geno Smith in Seattle and didn’t play that season. He signed with the Giants in 2024 as a free agent, then went back to the Seahawks ahead of this season, and it was a great decision.

Lock shared an Instagram post after the game and wrote: “Come on 2026, let’s keep it Rollin! GO HAWKS!!!”

After Seattle won Sunday, Lock celebrated with his wife, Natalie, and their son, Layton, who turned 2 earlier this month. Natalie shared some adorable photos after the big win to her Instagram account.

These are great.

ESPN’s Kalyn Kahler caught up with Lock in the Seahawks locker room after the NFC Championship Game, and he talked about his long friendship with Darnold.

It’s hard not to root for Lock when you hear him talk so highly of the player ahead of him on the depth chart.
