Donna Kelce never sought the spotlight, but it found her.

For years, Kelce was a fan of two NFL teams: the Chiefs and Eagles. She attended games in support of her sons, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and former Eagles center Jason Kelce.

She was well-known for wearing a split Eagles-Chiefs jersey when Philly played Kansas City in regular-season games. But Donna Kelce became a household name when the Chiefs faced the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

It was brother vs. brother with their mom watching (and she brought them cookies).

Proof of Kelce’s fame is evident in her selection to join the cast of Season 4 of “The Traitors.” She’ll be competing against Lisa Rinna, Rob Rausch and Tara Lipinski.

When she was in Kansas City for the red-carpet event for ESPN’s docuseries, “The Kingdom,” I spoke with Kelce about her experiences on the show, which starts Thursday.

“That was so much fun, just being able to do that, especially at my age, it was just a blast,” said Kelce, who is 73. “The (Scottish) Highlands are absolutely gorgeous. The people were so kind. And it just was kind of like a dream to be able to do something like that and to interact with individuals on such a high level. And it was a little bit daunting when it comes to some of the missions, but it was fun. It really was. It was a good time.”

A good time? The show’s goal is to have “faithful” players try to root out the “traitors.” And it sounds stressful, but it’s great she enjoyed the experience.

Kelce shared a bit about being on the show.

“A lot of it just has to do with the individuals that are taking care of everyone, and the secrecy that they have so that you’re not talking to anyone else, you’re just in the moment,” she said. “They don’t tell you what to do or how to be or anything like that. It’s all just the way it happens. Nobody’s coaching anyone. So that’s what I really liked about it.”

Here’s a preview of the show that was shared on X.
