Bengals fans have a long memory when it comes to the Chiefs.

The teams played in two epic AFC Championship Games earlier in this decade, and fans have traded barbs on social media ever since.

But not everything is negative when it comes to Chiefs and Bengals fans. When Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow had season-ending surgery on his wrist in 2023, Chiefs fans donated in $9 increments to his charity. That’s a nod to Burrow’s jersey number.

Now Bengals fans are returning the favor.

Following Mahomes’ season-ending ACL injury, Bengals fans have started giving $15 to the 15 and Mahomies foundation.

The X account Sleeper Bengals shared this message: “When Joe Burrow injured his wrist in 2023, Chiefs fans rallied together to donate money to both his foundation and his hunger relief, using $9 donations.

“With Patrick Mahomes now having to battle through an injury as well, I think #Bengals fans should look to donate to his own foundation, 15 and the Mahomies. ... Get well soon, Pat!”

Here is a snapshot of what Bengals fans were saying on X.
