Playing at AT&T Stadium is a dream come true for one famous Texas native.

It’s Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, of course. Mahomes who played at Whitehouse High School and Texas Tech, had never played as a pro at AT&T Stadium.

And he’s hoping a win will make his son, Bronze, enjoy his third birthday just a bit more.

“I haven’t been to a Thanksgiving game but obviously went to a lot of games growing up, and I played in there when I was in college,” Mahomes said earlier this year about AT&T Stadium. “So it’d be exciting. And my son’s birthday is the day after, so hopefully we can find a way to win and then get to celebrate my son’s birthday the day after that.”

Ahead of the Chiefs’ Thanksgiving Day game against the Cowboys, Mahomes had a sweet encounter with Bronze and his sisters, Sterling and Golden Raye. And, of course, Mahomes shared a moment with his wife, Brittany, the KC Current co-owner.
