Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes had Travis Kelce’s back after franchise-tying touchdown

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is one heck of a great teammate.

Through his career, Mahomes has set records as he has piled up eye-popping statistics. That includes 262 career touchdown passes in the regular season.

A lot of those touchdown throws have been big moments for the pass catchers. That was true whether it was the first career TD catch for Skyy Moore in Super Bowl LVII or tight end Travis Kelce’s 83rd career touchdown.

The latter came during the Chiefs’ “Monday Night Football” game against the Washington Commanders at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce tied a Chiefs franchise record for touchdowns, and he celebrated by doing the viral dance to “The Fate of Ophelia” song by fiancée, Taylor Swift.

Mahomes was well-aware of the historic nature of Kelce’s touchdown, and the Chiefs quarterback made sure to get the ball for his friend.

This was a great moment from Monday’s game, which the Chiefs won 28-7, and it showed that Mahomes is a fantastic teammate.
