The Buffalo Bills are coming off their bye week and will play the Panthers this weekend in Charlotte.

But some in the Buffalo area this week were focused on whom the Bills play next week: The Chiefs.

Jeremy White of WGR (550 AM) radio talked Monday about the fourth-down trick play the Chiefs ran against the Raiders.

“You know how I know the Chiefs are starting to really assemble and look good is because they’re becoming more annoying,” White said. “When they’re at their best, they’re annoying. Them running a ‘pretend-to-call-them’ offsides, and then Mahomes standing up and saying, ‘This never works. This never works,’ only to then call a run play. ...

“That’s your trick play in fourth grade, and the Chiefs are running that and succeeding. That’s their that’s them at their most annoying.”

On Tuesday, the Chiefs talk continued (and one would hope they also discussed the Bills’ next opponent, Carolina). Although Buffalo has allowed just 47 points in its last two games (both losses), the Chiefs offense has people nervous.

The Chiefs have scored 61 points in their previous two games.

Joe DiBiase asked White if he thought the Chiefs would “smoke” the Bills defense in the game, which will be played on Nov. 2.

“Yes, I think the Bills are going to get laid to waste defensively. Is that wrong?” White asked.

DiBiase said: “No, I agree with you.”

White continued: “Is that too pessimistic? Is that too much of a hater? Doesn’t mean they’re going to lose. They might beat the Chiefs, but I have no expectations for them to make stops in that game.”

DiBiase concurred.

“I’m with you,” DiBiase said. “They’re gonna score in the 30s, I think, and there’s a potential, maybe even for the 40s.”

The duo later talked about how some Bills players could make a difference in that video, which was shared by WGR to TikTok.

Bills fans sounded an equally pessimistic note about next month’s game. Here are some of the comments Bills Mafia left on TikTok.

“Need to get in Mahomes face to take some pressure off our weak secondary,” one fan wrote.

Another shared this: “(Our) defense is going to be trash the rest of the season, and the offense isn’t consistent anymore.”

“Bills are gonna get punished, I hope it’s an eye-opener for (Bills owner Terry) Pegula to seriously consider firing (coach Sean) McDermott,” wrote another fan.

This was the analysis from a Bills supporter: “Chiefs will hang 40+ on this geriatric defense. Offense? Allen won’t do nothin’.”

The Chiefs’ focus will turn to the Bills on Tuesday, because KC plays Washington on “Monday Night Football.” Again, the Bills face Carolina on Sunday.
