Many years in the future, Chiefs fans will gather for a beer and reminisce about quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The day will one day come when Mahomes retires from the NFL, although that won’t be anytime soon. But when Mahomes hangs up his No. 15 jersey for the last time, he’ll have provided countless happy memories for Chiefs fans.

And he’ll have made a lasting impact in the Kansas City community, too. Mahomes’ 15 and the Mahomies Foundation has already helped open an inclusive playground at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park.

And the foundation has given grants to a number of non-profit organizations in Kansas City.

The 15 and the Mahomies foundation raised more than $1.5 million Monday during its sixth annual gala, which was held at the Kansas City Convention Center.

Mahomes threw passes to some of the guests in attendance during the event, which was attended by Chiefs coach Andy Reid and his wife, Tammy. Mahomes’ mother and father were on hand, too, along his siblings.

Here are photos from the gala (and you can scroll through photos that were posted by Randi Mahomes).
