NBC Sports broadcaster is latest to give glowing review of Kansas City’s airport
It’s been a little more than 2 1/2 years since the new terminal opened at Kansas City International Airport, but some people are still seeing it for the first time.
A couple of my friends visited this past weekend, and they hadn’t been in Kansas City since 2022. They loved the change to our airport.
Ditto for NBC Sports’ Nicole Auerbach, who is the network’s lead college football and college basketball insider. Auerbach was so impressed that she shared this message on X: “The new Kansas City airport is awesome.”
Mike Golic Jr., who is on FanDuel’s “Golic & Golic” show, agreed with Auerbach. He wrote: “HUGE glow up” to which Auerbach responded: “Right??”
An X user wrote: “Oh man that old place was rough.”
Auerbach recalled a particularly difficult time at the old KCI.
“I once had a 12-hour delay and there was just a vending machine in my portion of the airport,” she wrote.
Auerbach isn’t the first broadcaster to share their delight about the new terminal. CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson, who will be back in Kansas City this weekend, previously expressed her happiness, as did Apple TV soccer analyst Taylor Twellman.
