Taylor Swift wasn’t at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday night for the Chiefs’ preseason game against the Bears.

But lookalike Kelley Thrasher was, and she got face time during the Bears broadcast. Announcers Adam Amin, Jim Miller and Stacey Dales spent time talking about whether it was Swift, the superstar singer who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

“You can scan every suite at Arrowhead Stadium and find Taylor Swift or find a doppelgänger of Taylor Swift,” Amin said. “There is a discussion happening amongst the crew to decide whether or not that was actually Taylor Swift or just a very, very accurate doppelgänger.

“We can’t ask Travis right now.”

Miller added: “Either way, my daughter said get her autograph, whether she’s real or not, I’ll take it.”

That was Thrasher, who caused a stir at a Sporting Kansas City game earlier this year because some fans thought it was Swift.

The Bears broadcast was so enamored by Thrasher that it went back to her later in the game. One problem: Amin acknowledged Swift wasn’t at the game but said Thrasher’s name is Ashley. You can read more about Thrasher in a profile by my colleague, Lisa Gutierrez.

Dales said the broadcast crew knew the entire time it wasn’t really Swift at the game, but the crew was clearly mesmorized by Thrasher.
