Royals’ Vinnie Pasquantino will use a special Pasquatch bat this weekend
The player with the sixth-most RBIs in the American League wears a Pasquatch necklace.
That’s Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino, of course. Pasquantino, who has a team-best 80 RBIs, has leaned into the Royals’ Pasquatch marketing plan.
If you’ve been to a Royals game the last couple of years, you’ve likely seen the Pasquatch emerge from atop the team’s Hall of Fame whenever Pasquantino has reached base.
The Pasquatch will be on display differently this weekend when the Royals take on the Chicago White Sox at Kauffman Stadium. It’s the annual Players’ Weekend around Major League Baseball, a time when they can show off their creative side with special bats and cleats.
Rookie pitcher Noah Cameron plans to honor his hometown of St. Joseph, as the Royals website noted. And Pasquantino will be using a cool Pasquatch bat.
Louisville Slugger shared a look at the design of the bat, and you can’t miss this when watching the Royals. Let’s just hope Pasquantino doesn’t break his bat in any of the games.
