The Kansas City Chiefs made one change to their radio team for the 2025 season
Chiefs fans listening on radio will hear a new voice on game days.
No, Mitch Holthus is not going anywhere. Holthus, the Voice of the Chiefs, will be calling games for the 32nd season, starting with Saturday’s preseason game against the Cardinals in Glendale, Arizona.
Also returning are analyst receiver Danan Hughes, the former Chiefs receiver, and sideline reporter Josh Klingler.
Chiefs games will air once again on KFNZ (96.5 FM), along with the pregame and postgame shows. That’s where there will be a change for the 2025 season: Joshua Brisco will host the shows that air before and after each game, replacing Art Hains.
“I’m thrilled and honored to be joining the Chiefs Radio Network,” Brisco wrote in an X message. “It’s absolutely surreal.”
Hains shared a farewell on social media.
“My time with the Chiefs Radio Network has come to an end after a great 16 years,” wrote Hains, who has dealt with serious health issues. “It was the honor of my career to be a part of this great organization I grew up cheering for. Getting to work with the great Dan Israel.”
Hains and Brisco also praised one another in social-media posts.
Israel died in March, just weeks after working Super Bowl LIX. Eric Townsend is the new executive producer for the Chiefs Radio Network.
Preseason TV team
Fans who tune to KSHB-TV (Ch. 41) for Saturday’s preseason game will see a familiar group of faces. Ari Wolfe is back for his sixth season as the play-by-play broadcaster for Chiefs preseason games, and he’ll be joined in the booth by former KC quarterback Trent Green.
Kimmi Chex will be back as a sideline reporter and Matt McMullen once again will give “sideline features and reports,” the Chiefs said.
