Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a three-time Super Bowl champion who has won two NFL MVP awards. His 15 and the Mahomies foundation has raised money for charities in the Kansas City area and in Texas.

Getting to the NFL is difficult a path for most athletes, but Mahomes not only made it but he’s thriving and is one of the league’s biggest stars.

Mahomes’ mother, Randi, on Thursday launched a program aimed at helping parents of athletes.

Randi Mahomes shared a video about her aim for the Sports Parent Academy, and she began by talking about Patrick Mahomes’ accomplishments.

“This part of my story often takes the spotlight, but I’m also, just like many of you, a parent trying to navigate the ups and downs of raising an athlete,” Randi Mahomes said in the video. “Along the way, we face challenges like any other family in sports. Now I want to take what I’ve learned and share it with you. Over the course of this academy, we’ll dive into various stages of your child’s athletic development.

“We’ll talk about managing stress, handling pressure, and even recognizing when it’s time to step back and let your child find their own path. But more importantly, we’ll focus on how you as a parent can be a source of positive influence, encouragement and strength for your child. I’m so excited to help you support your child in achieving their fullest potential.”

This is an online program, and it appears Randi Mahomes speaks with people who specialize in different aspects of being an athlete. That includes mental and physical facets of playing sports.

There are three pricing plans on the Sports Parent Academy website. Here is the video from Randi Mahomes talking about her new project.
