Airline adds flights to and from Kansas City following Chiefs schedule release

Fans weren’t alone in devouring the details of the Chiefs’ 2025 schedule after it was released last week.

American Airlines also took note of when and where games will be played for the Chiefs and other teams. The airline announced it is adding 185 flights based on the NFL schedule.

That includes flights dedicated for four Chiefs games in the 2025 season.

  • Oct. 5: KCI to JAX (Jacksonville International)
  • Oct. 7: JAX to KCI
  • Oct. 11: DTW (Detroit Metropolitan Airport) to KCI
  • Oct. 13: KCI to DTW
  • Dec. 19: KCI to BNA (Nashville International)
  • Dec. 22: BNA to KCI
  • Jan. 2: KCI to LAS (McCarran International in Las Vegas)
  • Jan. 5: LAS to KCI

American Airlines said it also is adding additional seats for flights from Philadelphia to Kansas City on Sept. 13 for the Super Bowl LIX rematch as well as Sept. 15 flights from KC to Philly.
