Royals’ minor-league team sold Kitty Litter Sundae to fans who brought cats to game
The Royals’ second Bark in the Park event of the season is planned for next week, and fans will be able to bring their dogs to Kauffman Stadium.
The Omaha Storm Chasers, who are the Royals’ Triple-A affiliate, gave their pet-loving fans a different opportunity on Thursday night. It was “Take Meow’t to the Ballgame Night,” and cat owners were allowed to bring their four-pawed friends to Werner Park.
That’s kind of a fun event and it included a special food offering: A Litter Box Sundae.
No, this wasn’t for the cats because, well, why would they want to eat from their litter box? Let’s leave that to the dogs.
The special treat was for humans. Here is the description from the team: Soft-serve ice cream with chocolate syrup on a bed of graham cracker dust and rainbow sprinkles.
And it came with a souvenir scoop, which one would guess could be used for a purpose other than eating ice cream.
Take a look at the, um, creation.
Minda Haas Kuhlmann, the excellent baseball photographer in Nebraska, shared more photos of the cool cats who were at the game.
