Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy spent Thursday night with a good friend and former teammate.

That pal is now a rival.

Worthy, the former Texas star, was at the NFL Draft gathering for Jahdae Barron, the former Longhorns cornerback. Barron was selected 20th overall by the Denver Broncos, and Worthy shared a photo of the moment on his Insta story from Barron’s draft party.

While Worthy was undoubtedly happy for his friend to be joining the NFL, he might have been a little disappointed that the Chiefs didn’t get the chance to draft Barron.

In February, Worthy tried to manifest Barron to the Chiefs with a message on X.

Worthy will still get to see Barron twice a season when the Chiefs play the Broncos, but perhaps they’ll refrain from doing their special handshake.

Texas fans are pumped up to see Worthy go up against Barron when the AFC West rivals play.
